Overview
Canvas is a whiteboard tab in the workspace pane, built on Excalidraw. Ask an agent to sketch the architecture, a flow, a sequence or a data model, and the boxes and arrows land on the board in front of you as it works.
Agents reach it through the studio's built-in MCP server: they list, open, describe, edit, lay out and screenshot boards, and name the shapes an arrow connects rather than hand-placing coordinates. Draw on the same board yourself while they do — when you both touch one shape, yours wins.
A board is an .excalidraw file in the project's diagrams/ folder, so it is versioned with your code and reviewed like any other file.

- Provenance
- Marketplace bundles are distributed signed: an ed25519 signature covers every file digest in the manifest and is checked at install, so bytes can’t change without failing verification. Modules included with the studio ship inside the app itself.
Permissions
Canvas needs the following to do its job. In-app, permissions always come from the verified manifest — never from listing copy.

- Processed on your machine — sessions run on your own subscriptions and keys
- Never sold to third parties or used outside the module’s core functionality
- Removable in one step: uninstall reverses the install receipt completely
